CVE-2025-10009Network attack vector

Admin code execution via upload path traversal

Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Invoice Ninja 5.11.41 through 5.11.72 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side PHP code. ImportJsonController's handleChunkedUpload interpolates unvalidated fileHash and fileName metadata into filesystem paths, allowing crafted chunks to escape the intended temporary directory. Exploitation requires administrator credentials and can place PHP in a server-executable location with the web application's privileges.
