Content spoofing via misleading Omnibox display

Published Feb 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

URL spoofing in Google Chrome on Android before 133.0.6943.98 allows remote attackers to misrepresent the Omnibox via a crafted HTML page. The Browser UI displays attacker-controlled page content while presenting a misleading URL in the Omnibox; Google has not disclosed the underlying implementation error. Successful exploitation requires a user to open the crafted page, allowing the attacker to disguise the page origin and support phishing or other content-deception attacks.
