Undetected data corruption via accelerated gzip compression

Data corruption in IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1050.00 through FW1050.30 and FW1060.00 through FW1060.20 allows local users to lose data. The hypervisor's NX gzip acceleration path produces incorrect compression output without detecting it during a specific hardware state window. Exploitation requires a Power10 Linux partition using a processor compatibility configuration that exposes hardware acceleration, and the affected operation can silently corrupt or lose processed data.
