CVE-2025-0981Network attack vector

Session hijacking via stored description-field JavaScript

Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Stored XSS in ChurchCRM 5.13.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions through a Group Editor description. The Group Editor stores the description field and later renders it without neutralizing embedded JavaScript, causing the script to execute in another authenticated user's browser. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and a victim must view the affected content before the session cookie can be disclosed and reused.
