Authenticated SQL injection via chat-room parameters
Published Feb 2, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
SQL injection in code-projects Chat System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through chat-room requests. The /user/add_chatroom.php handler processes attacker-controlled chatname and chatpass values as SQL syntax instead of separating them as data. A low-privileged account and network access to the handler are required; exploitation can read or write application database records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
