Code execution via U3D out-of-bounds write
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in PDF-XChange Editor 10.4.3.391 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted U3D file. The U3D parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
