Information disclosure via unchecked XPS parsing
Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in PDF-XChange Editor 10.4.0.388 allows remote attackers to disclose process data through a crafted XPS file. The XPS parser fails to validate user-controlled data before reading beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file or visit a page that supplies it; the resulting disclosure can support code execution when combined with another flaw.
