Privilege chaining in BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows before 25.2 allows local users to elevate privileges via COM objects. User-writable COM registration entries can redirect COM activation so an EPM-elevated process loads attacker-controlled code. Exploitation requires an authenticated local account and a policy that automatically elevates the affected user process; successful abuse grants elevated code execution.
