Authenticated SQL injection via raw user interpolation
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
SQL injection in code-projects Chat System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through the user parameter. The /user/addnewmember.php handler interpolates the POST user value directly into an INSERT statement without filtering or parameterization. An existing session is required, and crafted values enable blind database reads or writes within the application database account's privileges.
