Unauthenticated script execution via browserLang injection
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Cross-site scripting in the login component of Cianet ONU GW24AC 20250127 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted request. The login handler returns the unneutralized _browserLang value in its response, letting a cross-origin POST close the existing script context and inject a new script element. No authentication is required, but a user must open attacker-controlled HTML that submits the request; the demonstrated consequence is script execution in the gateway interface.
