Authenticated arbitrary file read via unsanitized template path
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in BoldGrid Post and Page Builder 1.27.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The template_via_url() method passed the template_choice query parameter into WordPress template selection without restricting the resolved path to approved theme, compatibility, or plugin-template directories. Contributor-level access is required, and exposure is limited to files readable by the WordPress/PHP process.
