CVE-2025-0851Network attack vector

Arbitrary file write via cross-platform archive paths

Published Jan 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Absolute path traversal in Deep Java Library 0.1.0 through 0.31.0 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files via model archives. ZipUtils.unzip and TarUtils.untar strip only the host platform's leading separator, then resolve entry names without verifying that normalized paths remain under the destination. Exploitation requires a crafted archive to be loaded by a consuming application; a successful write can place an SSH key or web content outside the extraction directory.
