CVE-2025-0848Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked stack copy

Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda A18 15.13.07.09 allows remote authenticated users to crash the extender via an HTTP POST request. The SetCmdlineRun handler passes the user-controlled wpapsk_crypto5g value to set_repeat5, where strcpy copies it into a fixed 16-byte stack array without a length check. An authenticated management-session request meeting the configured2_4g and configured5g branch conditions can overwrite the return address, causing a crash or arbitrary code execution.
