Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Apr 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in shortcodes in Digital Zoom Studio ZoomSounds 6.91 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The plugin accepts user-controlled shortcode attributes without sufficient sanitization and renders them into page output without adequate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload, which executes whenever a user opens the injected page and can act in that user's browser context.
