Authenticated file disclosure via dot-dot URL traversal
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Path traversal in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2.0 through 11.2.4 FP5 and 12.0.0 through 12.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to read files. A crafted URL containing dot-dot sequences escapes the intended directory; IBM has not disclosed the affected endpoint or path-handling function. Low-privileged Cognos access is required, and the reported consequence is arbitrary file viewing without modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
