CVE-2025-0816

Service interruption via malformed IPv6 packets

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper input validation in Schneider Electric Enerlin'X IFE/eIFE all versions allows remote attackers to cause outages via malicious IPv6 packets. The embedded IPv6 packet-processing path fails to reject malformed traffic, leaving IEC 61850 services unavailable until the device is manually rebooted. The attacker requires unauthenticated access from an adjacent network; Schneider Electric has not published the malformed fields or deeper parser defect.
