CVE-2025-0814Network attack vector

Network-service interruption via malformed IEC 61850 MMS packets

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper input validation in Schneider Electric Enerlin’X IFE and eIFE before 004.010.000 allows remote attackers to interrupt network services. The IEC 61850 MMS handling path does not reject maliciously formed packets and leaves the services unavailable until the interface is manually rebooted. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the connected circuit breaker's core functionality remains intact.
