API key overwrite via missing wizard nonce
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in RateMyAgent Official 1.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to update the plugin API key. The rma-settings-wizard handler accepts settings updates without correctly validating a WordPress nonce, so a forged request can replace the stored key. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or perform an equivalent action; the bounded impact is unauthorized API key modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
