CVE-2025-0799Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file write via malicious BAR deployment

Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 22, 2025

Path traversal in IBM App Connect Enterprise allows remote authenticated users with deploy privilege to write arbitrary files through BAR deployment. BAR configuration deployment fails to limit archive-supplied pathnames to permitted directories, so a malicious BAR file can place content at arbitrary filesystem paths. The user must authenticate and hold deploy privilege; IBM reports file-write impact only, without confidentiality or availability impact.
