Authenticated file read via unvalidated member path
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file read in AdvancedCoding wpForo Forum 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The Members::update method insufficiently validates a user-controlled file path, allowing that path to reach the profile-update file-reading flow. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is disclosure of files readable by the WordPress server process.
