Heap-based buffer overflow in Axiomatic Systems Bento4 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash mp42aac via a crafted MP4 file. AP4_MetaDataAtomTypeHandler supplies a malformed atom-derived length to AP4_StdcFileByteStream::ReadPartial, which passes a 558-byte read to fread for a one-byte heap buffer. A user must cause mp42aac to process the file; the demonstrated result is an AddressSanitizer abort, with no code execution established.
