Browser script execution via crafted user-show path
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Reflected XSS in EmbedAI before 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via a crafted URL. The /embedai/users/show/ route places attacker-controlled path content into the returned page without neutralizing it before browser interpretation. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious URL; the script then runs in the EmbedAI origin and can read or alter data accessible to that browser session.
