Authenticated visitor-data disclosure via unchecked visit identifiers
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Improper access control in EmbedAI before 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' visit details over the network. The /embedai/visits/show/<VISIT_ID> endpoint returns the visit selected by a supplied identifier without enforcing ownership of that record. Any authenticated account can obtain another visitor's IP address, user agent, and location when a valid visit identifier is supplied.
