Credential disclosure via reflected error parameter script
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Reflected XSS in IBM Cloud Pak for Data 4.0.0 through 4.8.5 and 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to disclose credentials via a crafted URL. The /error endpoint returns the error parameter in the Web UI without neutralizing injected JavaScript, which executes when the crafted URL is opened. No authentication is required to create the URL, but a trusted-session user must open it; execution can alter displayed content and expose credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
