Stored script execution via unescaped role slug
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Dcat Admin 2.2.1-beta allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted role slug. The role-creation form stores script markup supplied in the slug field, and the Roles page later renders that stored value without neutralizing it. Administrative access is required to create the role, and execution occurs when a user opens the Roles page, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled page actions.
