CVE-2025-0704Network attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded QR-code dimensions

Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Jan 24, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in BootPlus allows remote attackers to interrupt service through crafted QR-code requests. The qrCode method in QrCodeController.java processes caller-controlled w and h dimensions without a published size limit, causing excessive resource use during image generation. No authentication or user interaction is required; commit 247d5f6c209be1a5cf10cd0fa18e1d8cc63cf55d is affected, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
