Authenticated arbitrary file upload via portraitFile
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Unrestricted upload in BootPlus at commit 247d5f6c209be1a5cf10cd0fa18e1d8cc63cf55d allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary files. The SysFileController handler accepts portraitFile content without restricting dangerous file types before saving it. A low-privileged authenticated account can place attacker-chosen content on the server; execution depends on how the uploaded path is served.
