Authenticated SQL injection via role-list sorting
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
SQL injection in BootPlus allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the role-list sort parameter. The /admin/sys/role/list handler accepts attacker-controlled sort text and uses it in SQL ordering without adequate neutralization. Low-privileged access to the administrative interface is required, and resulting queries run with the application database account's authority.
