Database compromise via sort/order SQL injection
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
SQL injection in BootPlus at commit 247d5f6c209be1a5cf10cd0fa18e1d8cc63cf55d allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The /admin/sys/menu/list handler uses attacker-controlled sort and order values to construct query ordering without adequate neutralization. A low-privileged authenticated account is required, and successful injection can compromise database confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
