Administrative takeover via password endpoint manipulation
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Authentication bypass in Elber WAYBER, CLEBER3, SIGNUM, ESE, and REBLE 610 ODU allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The password management endpoint accepts a manipulated unauthenticated request and overwrites the selected user's password. Affected releases are WAYBER 4, CLEBER3 1.0, SIGNUM 0 through 1.999, ESE 0 through 1.5.179, and REBLE 610 ODU 0.01; management-interface reachability is the only reported gate.
