Browser script execution via unescaped request parameters
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated May 7, 2025
Reflected XSS in BOINC Server 1.4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser via crafted requests. Seven PHP endpoints reflect unescaped query or XML values, including the venue value in host_venue_action.php, into generated pages. Exploitation requires a victim to open or submit an attacker-crafted request and permits browser-session data access or actions in that victim's context.
