CVE-2025-0664

SYSTEM code execution via malicious OpenSSL configuration

Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025

Code injection in Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) 36.30.0 and 35.31.28 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The agent processes an attacker-crafted OpenSSL configuration and loads an arbitrary local library under its SYSTEM context. Local authenticated administrative access is required; successful exploitation can impair endpoint defenses while executing attacker code.
