CVE-2025-0651

SYSTEM file deletion via symlink following

Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Improper privilege management in Cloudflare WARP before 2024.12.492.0 allows local users to delete SYSTEM-owned Windows files. The WARP service follows symlinks placed in C:\ProgramData\Cloudflare\warp-diag-partials when Reset all settings removes diagnostic files. A low-privilege Windows session and activation of that reset operation are required; deletion can reach files outside the diagnostic directory.
