CVE-2025-0626Network attack vector

Remote code execution via hard-coded network mount

Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Mar 1, 2025

Hidden functionality in CMS8000 Patient Monitor firmware allows remote attackers to overwrite device files after a user starts an update. The monitor binary enables a disabled network interface and mounts a hard-coded routable IP address while bypassing configured network settings. Reachability requires a user to start an update from the device menu and network access to the hard-coded host; successful abuse permits file upload and replacement, enabling remote code execution or device modification.
