Persistent tamper-event blindness via unhandled exception
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Persistent denial of service in Trellix Endpoint Security HX Server 10.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to halt tamper events. The HX service raises an unhandled exception when it processes a specially crafted tamper-protection event and stops accepting subsequent events. Exploitation requires control of a compromised endpoint agent and leaves the console unable to detect further agent-tampering activity even after an HX reboot.
