Authentication bypass via missing post-reset LDAP bind
Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
Authentication bypass in Keycloak before 26.0.10 and 26.1.0 through 26.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to regain access. After an Active Directory password reset, the LDAP federation component updates the password without binding to LDAP to validate the new credentials. Exploitation requires password-reset access for a federated account that Active Directory has expired or disabled; successful access bypasses those restrictions.
