Stored script execution via group chat messages
Published Jan 20, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Stored XSS in CampCodes School Management Software 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through group chat messages. The /chat/group/send handler stores the message argument without neutralizing script-capable markup before chat history renders it. A valid low-privilege account and a viewer opening the affected group chat are required; injected script runs in that viewer's browser context.
