CVE-2025-0525Network attack vector

Authenticated file-existence disclosure via preview import

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025

Observable discrepancy in affected Octopus Server releases allows remote authenticated users to determine whether a target file exists. The preview-import feature processes a target file reference and produces an observable difference based on whether that file exists; the responsible endpoint and response behavior are undisclosed. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and particular attack conditions, and it reveals existence only, with no reported file-content access or modification.
