Stored XSS via forged administrator settings request
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Stored XSS in Tommietott LikeBot 0.85 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged administrator request. The plugin settings update accepts likebot_backgroundcolor from POST without a CSRF check, input sanitization, or output escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML; the stored payload then executes when the setting is rendered.
