Privilege escalation in Black Duck SCA before 2025.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to access Project Administrator functions. A scoped Project Manager role combined with Global User Read receives overly broad permissions that bypass intended project-level authorization boundaries. This access can expose sensitive system information or permit unauthorized project-configuration changes, but it does not grant full system control.
