CVE-2025-0439Network attack vector

UI spoofing via stale frame visibility state

Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Race condition in Google Chrome before 132.0.6834.83 allows remote attackers to spoof browser UI through a crafted HTML page. IntersectionObserver retains a prior guaranteed-visible result when frame occlusion becomes unknown and can misclassify a child frame whose parent is hidden. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content and perform specific UI gestures, enabling deceptive content to appear as trusted browser UI.
