Cleartext credential storage in Valmet DNA C2007 through C2021 allows physically proximate attackers to read local project passwords. Valmet DNA Operate stores user passwords without encryption inside project function blocks, leaving the credential values readable. Physical access to the project data is required; disclosure is limited to credentials stored in those function blocks.
