Authenticated script injection via role name
Published Jan 12, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Cross-site scripting in reckcn SPPanAdmin 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via the role-edit name parameter. The /;/admin/role/edit handler accepts the name value without sufficient output neutralization, causing attacker-supplied script to execute when the affected page is rendered. Low-privilege access and subsequent user interaction are required; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized modification of browser-displayed content.
