Memory corruption via undersized assertion buffer

Buffer overflow in GNU C Library 2.13 through 2.40 allows local users to corrupt memory through a failed assertion. The __assert_fail_base function allocates space for the assertion text but omits the abort_msg_s size field, so page-aligned messages overflow the mapping. Exploitation requires a custom setuid program with a user-controlled program name and an existing assertion failure; upstream reports no such program.
