Authenticated code execution via path-traversed SVG inclusion
Published Feb 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Local file inclusion in Artbees Jupiter X Core 4.8.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via SVG files. The raven-video widget passes its user-controlled device_frame setting to get_svg(), which concatenates it into an assets path consumed by PHP include. Contributor access permits creation of an upload form, discovery or prediction of the renamed SVG path, and inclusion of PHP-bearing SVG content on the server.
