Unauthenticated username enumeration via SSH API discrepancy
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Information disclosure in AXIS OS 11.11.0 through 11.11.140 and 12.0.0 through 12.3.55 allows remote attackers to enumerate usernames. The VAPIX Device Configuration SSH Management API exposes an observable response discrepancy for account names, but Axis has not published the request or response behavior that distinguishes valid usernames. No authentication is required, and the disclosed consequence is limited to learning which usernames exist on a reachable Axis device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
