Incorrect authorization in Axis AXIS OS 11.11.0 through 11.11.134 and 12.0.0 through 12.2.40 allows local users to gain elevated privileges. The VAPIX Device Configuration framework assigns an incorrect user privilege level in its service-account D-Bus API, but Axis has withheld further mechanism details. Exploitation requires existing low-privilege local access and can compromise device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
