Authenticated code execution via unchecked photo upload
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in CampCodes Computer Laboratory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The /class/edit/edit handler preserves the e_photo filename extension and passes the temporary file directly to move_uploaded_file without validating its type. A valid PHP session can therefore place an executable PHP file under uploads and invoke it through an encoded extension path.
