Unauthenticated password reset via changePwd request
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Weak password recovery in YunzMall 2.4.0 through 2.4.2 allows remote attackers to change account passwords via an HTTP POST request. The changePwd function in /app/platform/controllers/ResetpwdController.php processes attacker-controlled pwd input, but the public record does not disclose which recovery check is missing or weak. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation changes account credentials and enables unauthorized account access.
