CVE-2025-0327

Local privilege escalation via modifiable service paths

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper privilege management in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Process Expert products allows local users to gain elevated workstation privileges. Two Windows services—one handling audit-trail data and one serving client requests—permit standard users to change their executable paths. A modified path executes the selected program when either service restarts, exposing engineering-workstation data, control, and availability.
